Camping Guidelines and Cancellations

 
Bookings and payments are made through PitchUp 


Opening times are as follows:
SHOP 9am – 6pm
CAFE 9am – 5pm daily 

(During wintertime shop and cafe close 1 hour earlier)
Normal arrival time is 2pm onwards (3pm on Sundays) and departure is 12 noon (2pm on Sundays).  If you’re going to arrive out with shop hours please let us know. 01337 857749 (9am-6pm).

Camping is in the Bankings field . 
Only paying campers are allowed on site. 

Parking

  • ​You can drive into the Bankings field and park next to your tent.
  • Small camper vans only (max 6 metres). Sorry, no big campervans or caravans.  We have no electric hook ups.

Facilties

  •  Shower and toilets are the wooden building with a decking ramp opposite shop. There is one shower in each male, female and disabled sections.
  • Wash house for washing up is the building next to the toilets. 
  • Fires and barbeques allowed, but please only start fires in the existing  bonfire pits and only use wood you bring with you or have bought;  we sell firewood for £5 a bag.
  • Cafe tables & chairs are for customers use only; these should not be moved into the camping areas.
  • Water bottles can be filled up from the tap in the wash house or from taps in the fields (See note below). 
  • Wi-fi is available outside the cafe on the decking. Password is cucumber 

    Dogs are not allowed on the campsite, sorry.

Please respect fellow campers and local residents; keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10pm.
 

PLEASE TIDY UP AFTER YOURSELF; SEPARATE YOUR WASTE AND USE THE RECYCLING BINS
 NEAR KITCHEN DOOR BEHIND WOODEN FENCE.

Refunds and Cancellations. 
Should for any reason you may have to change or cancel your stay with us, ​refunds are as follows:
Up to 14 days prior to arrival;  full refund less 15% of total payment (If booked by pitchup this is your deposit)
​No refunds within 14 days of arrival date.
 

Water
Please note the water comes from a private supply. The source of this water is a spring on Falkland Hill, it is subsequently filtered and chlorinated. Although the quality of this water is usually acceptable for drinking, under certain circumstances the quality may be lower than you would expect from a public supply.
